You can use Krizlin without an account. The app gives your install a random ID. That ID isn't linked to your name, your phone's hardware or any advertising ID.
Your settings, saved cards, streak and quiz scores stay on your phone unless you sign in.
We count how Krizlin is used so we can make it better: which cards are viewed and opened, shares, saves, quiz starts and finishes, and when the app is opened. These counts go only to our own server, tied to the random install ID, never to anyone else.
When you open a source, we count the click for that source so we can share readers fairly across publishers. When you report an error, we keep the report. To stop abuse, we keep a scrambled form of your network address that changes every day.
Notifications are off until you turn them on, and each kind (the daily digest, the evening quiz reminder, breaking alerts) has its own switch in Settings. If you turn one on, we keep your phone's notification address, your choices and your feed filters so we send only what you asked for, at the time you chose. Turning a switch off stops it from the next send. We never send advertising notifications.
If you sign in with Google (or Apple), we keep your account ID and email address, and sync your saved cards, settings, streak and quiz scores so they follow you to a new phone. We don't get or keep your name, photo or contacts.
You can delete your account in Settings at any time. It removes your account and everything synced to it straight away. Usage counts and error reports you sent stay, no longer linked to you.
We use no third-party trackers, no advertising SDKs and no IDFA. We don't sell data.
